Maycilina

Tetracycline.

Indications

Treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to tetracycline:
– Calves: Pneumonia, chlamydia and leptospirosis.
– Lambs and goat kids: Pneumonia, leptospirosis and chlamydia.
– Swine: Enzootic porcine pneumonia, listeriosis, leptospirosis and/or swine erysipelas (only in its acute form).
– Poultry: Chronic respiratory disease (CRD) and mycoplasmosis.

Details

  • Powder for oral solution.
  • Format: Bags of 1 kg.
  • Animal species: Cattle (calves), sheep (lambs) and goats (kids), pigs and poultry.

Tetracycline (chlorhydrate) 500 mg/g.

Oral administration.
– Calves: 10-20 mg of tetracycline/ kg body weight/day (equivalent to 20-40 mg of Maycilina / kg b.w./day), for a maximum of 5 days.
– Lambs and goat kids: 10-20 mg of tetracycline/ kg body weight/day (equivalent to 20-40 mg of Maycilina / kg b.w./day), for a maximum of 4 days.
– Pigs: 30 mg of tetracycline/ kg body weight/day (equivalent to 60 mg of Maycilina / kg b.w./day) in a single dose and for a maximum of 3 days in piglets and 5 days in adults.
– Poultry: 50-100 mg of tetracycline (equivalent to 100-200 mg of Maycilina) ​/ liter for a maximum of 5 days.

Meat: Lambs: 5 days. Kids: 5 days. Porcine: 5 days. Birds: 5 days. Calves: 12 days.
Eggs: Its use is not authorized in birds whose eggs are used for human consumption.
